Ibanez Artist
Genuine vintage guitar. Japanese made. Fully restored, all original apart from the control knobs.
This guitar benefits from a recent fret level and recrown.
All Electrics are in 100% working condition and 100% original.
(This is important as Ibanez Artist were originally equipped with "V2" wax potted pickups)
Being an early example, this guitar features the simple dot fretmarkers, as opposed to the fancier type, on later examples. Making this guitar, for collectors, more desirable.
Description
Made in the golden era of Japanese guitar manufacture. Quite simply, one of the best electric guitars ever made.
The frets are perfectly level, crowned and polished, giving super low action. The wax potted, original Ibanez V2 pickups sound great, very versatile. They are high output, giving a very warm
sound and when driven, pure rock.
With a brass nut and through neck construction, you're looking at one of the finest guitars made, a true classic. These features give the best sustain achieved from any electric guitar. All
cavities have been copper shielded and all groundings checked. This guitar has got a few cosmetic dings here and there. Mainly on the back and bottom, well you cant have everything. These in no
way effect the playability of the guitar. With a guitar of this age, you've got to expect a few dings. A fantastic guitar, will only ever appreciate in value.
Marlin Sidewinder 1984
Genuine vintage guitar. Fully restored, all original Marlin Sidewinder.
Total refret with Dunlop Jumbo frets.
Neck has been stripped and re-lacqured with Genuine, old style, Nitrocellulose, giving the neck a deep gloss finish.
All Electrics are in 100% working condition and 100% original.
(This is important as Marlins were originally equipped with wax potted pickups, which its main rival at the time, the Fender Squire, were not.)
Description
This guitar is a blues players dream. The Jumbo frets give this guitar a playability beyond many top brand guitars. The frets are perfectly level, crowned and polished, giving super low action.
The wax potted, original Marlin pickups sound great and very Stratocaster like.
The neck is great and comparable in quality to any USA Fender neck, if not better.
Re-lacqured and refretted, it's spot on.
The Body is actually ply, sometimes frowned upon, but I feel unfairly. There is very little sound difference between these bodies, compared to solid bodied guitars.
All cavities have been copper shielded and all groundings checked.
The body has faded to the nicest cream colour, along with the pickups and knobs. No relecing here, this is genuine aging, 33 years!
A fantastic guitar, considerably cheaper than a top brand stratacastor, yet can out perform the best of them.

Aria Pro 2, Hollow bodied guitar, 1984
Genuine vintage guitar. Pretty much perfect original condition.
This guitar has had very little use in its life and thus is in great shape. All the hardware is gold plated, yet through time this gold plate has thinned and the silver underneath shines through,
mainly on the pickups. I personally feel this is a great vintage look and only adds and doesn't distract.
The frets have been levelled, crowned, dressed and polished to a mirror finish. These are the original frets.
Description
This guitar is all about the tone, a beautifully mellow, rounded sound. Typically used for jazz, you can really play anything you like on this guitar. Due to its low action, its quite easy to
play a screaming blues lead on this guitar and it makes a fantastic sound. Check out Clapton playing his 1964 Gibson ES-335 and you'll be getting close.
When you play this guitar you just get a sense of craftsmanship and quality. Its beautifully made, using the best woods. Comes with its own genuine hardcase.

Marlin Sidewinder 1986

Total refret with Dunlop Medium Jumbo frets.

The nut is genuine cattle bone, bespoke built for this guitar.
All Electrics are in 100% working condition and 100% original.
(This is important as Marlins were originally equipped with wax potted pickups, which its main rival at the time, the Fender Squire, were not.)
This particular model has a humbucker at the bridge position and is equipped with an inverse phase switch.
Description
This guitar is a great all rounder and can cope easily with any style of play. The medium jumbo frets give this guitar a relaxed playability. Its very comfortable to play, even over long time
periods. The frets are perfectly level, crowned and polished, giving super low action. The wax potted, original Marlin pickups sound great and very Stratocaster like. With the humbucker in the
"out of phase" setting, I feel you can get this guitar to sound quite Les Paul like. Put the humbucker back in phase and you're back to a classic strat sound.
The neck is great and comparable in quality to any USA Fender neck, if not better.
Re-finished and refretted, it's spot on.
The Body is actually ply, sometimes frowned upon, but I feel unfairly. There is very little sound difference between these bodies, compared to solid bodied guitars.
All cavities have been copper shielded and all groundings checked.
The body is a metallic silver colour and in excellent condition with respect to its age.
The bridge is classic stratocastor style.
A fantastic guitar, considerably cheaper than a top brand stratacastor, yet can out perform the best of them.
